Work 457 and ENS Permanent Residence – Was your occupation removed from the skilled occupation list?

Significant changes were announced in April 2017 by the Australian government which affected many current 457 and 482 visa holders, due to the removal of their occupation from the skilled occupation lists.

However, transitional arrangements exist which may assist people who on 18 April 2017 either held a 457 visa or had applied for a 457 visa and this visa was subsequently granted.

Many of our existing clients have been pleasantly surprised when they have been told that even though their occupation is no long on the skilled occupation lists, they may still achieve permanent residence if their Australian 457 sponsor nominates them for permanent residence.
